Mike Broemmel is a prolific playwright, with over three-dozen produced, critically acclaimed, award-winning plays to his name. A number of his plays have been in continuous production since their initial premieres a decade ago. Two of his plays have run Off-Broadway.
Mike’s career began in the White House Office of Media Relations in the 1980s. From there, he spent the greater part of 10 years deep in the hustle and bustle of the political arena, including working for a number of notable elected officials and running for office himself.
Mike’s involvement in the arts has extended over many years. Mike was the board chair of a metropolitan arts council for six years and the president of a statewide umbrella organization for community arts agencies.
In addition to garnering acclaim as a playwright, Mike is a critically acclaimed novelist and writer of short fiction. He has been described as the “21st century’s answer to John Steinbeck at his most nitty-gritty.”
Sybll Romley is an accomplished Executive with a well-rounded business basckground currently serving on the Board of Directors for Theatrix USA. She has produced several shows for Act One Productions and Theatrix USA including: Taking Tea with the Ripper, The Bonfils Girl, Stand Still & Look Stupid and Kiss.
Cathy Washburn is an award-winning stage and film actor. She is the lead in The Bonfils Girl, an award-winning play that chronicles the life story of Helen Bonfils. Bonfils was the first woman producer on Broadway and the first female publisher of a major daily newspaper. Cathy worked tirelessly in editing and assisting with research for this play.
Ali Romley is a graduate of Santa Clara University. In addition to her work on Stand Still & Look Stupid, Ali has served as the Creative Director of The Baptism, Kiss, and Taking Tea with the Ripper.
